Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join their team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for
managing the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions. This role requires strong analytical
skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
The Tax Manager will work closely with internal teams and external advisors to develop strategies that optimize our tax
position while minimizing risk.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide support to external tax advisors in the preparation and review of international,
federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure timely and accurate filing. - Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company's tax
position. - Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, staying current on new tax laws and changes in
legislation. - Lead the tax planning process, including forecasting and budgeting for tax liabilities.
- Manage tax audits and work with tax authorities to resolve issues and minimize tax risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data and ensure proper tax treatment of
business transactions. - Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters and best practices.
- Assist external advisors in preparation and review of tax provision calculations for financial statement
reporting under applicable accounting standards. - Liaise with external tax advisors, consultants, and auditors to ensure alignment on tax strategies and
compliance. - Analyze and interpret tax data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for
business decision-making.
Key Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and provision calculations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex tax concepts to non-financial
stakeholders. - Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
